1986The Beginning: Mellencamp Construction
Jeff and Lori Mellencamp establish Mellencamp Construction, marking their entry into the building industry. It’s here that they learn the importance of using high-quality materials in every home they build.
1986Foundation Laid
Millwood Flooring Manufacturing Plant opens its doors in Ellijay, Georgia, laying the groundwork for our future in hardwood flooring.
1990Building Connections
Jeff and Lori Mellencamp, experienced homebuilders in Chattanooga, TN, begin supplying local laying and finishing professionals with top-quality flooring materials. This lays the groundwork for our robust network of flooring experts.
2005Chattanooga Expansion
Our Chattanooga store opens, initially offering building products, flooring, and supplies. This location quickly becomes a trusted resource for the local community.
2008A New Chapter
Jeff and Lori Mellencamp acquire Millwood Manufacturing, merging Specialty Building Products with Millwood Flooring. From this point on, our retail locations proudly sell our wood flooring manufactured right here in Georgia.
2012Knoxville Location Launch
Our Knoxville, TN store opens, extending our reach and bringing our high-quality products to even more customers.
2024Growing Our Family
The Manchester, TN store opens, further strengthening our presence in the South and continuing our tradition of excellence in hardwood flooring.
